BUTTREY, Charles Glen, Sr.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 11/25/2003 Charles Glen Buttrey, Sr., died Nov. 20, 2003 in Eagar with his family at his side. Charles was born and raised in Missouri. After graduating from high school he joined the Army Air Corps. and served in Europe during WWII. When he returned home he went to college and studied engineering. Charles then went to work for Grant City Steel as a time study engineer. He married Cleo K. Bond in 1950 and together they had two children. Charles was an avid duck hunter when he was younger and loved to fish and golf through his retirement. Charles is survived by his two sons, Charles Glen (Patti) Buttrey, Jr. of Huntsville, Alabama, Bruce Allen (Frances) Buttrey of Eagar; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 22 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Eagar. Grave side services will be held Friday, Nov. 28 at the Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Owens Mortuary of Eagar handled the arrangements.
