GATEWOOD, Henrietta (Etta)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/05/2003 Henrietta Gatewood "Etta", 15, died Saturday morning Nov. 29, 2003. Etta was born March 16, 1988 in Phoenix. She was a sophomore at Alchesay High School in Whiteriver. Etta was raised in Diamond Creek, by her paternal grandparents Varnell Sr and Lorraine Gatewood. Her maternal grandparents are Lida Cosay of Seven Mile and the late Kenneth Cromwell. Etta is survived by her two sisters, Michelle and Micheline Gatewood; and her mother, Corrine Cromwell. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold "Mitch" Gatewood. Etta was brought home to Diamond Creek to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Varnell Gatewood, Sr.'s Thursday, Dec. 4 where there will be a two night wake. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. in the North Fork Miracle Church with Pastor Preston Kessay presiding. Interment will be in the Diamond Creek Cemetery. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
