The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 12/05/2003 Jennie Ethel Thomas, 79, died Nov. 28, 2003 in Whiteriver. She was born April 7, 1924 and lived in Cibecue. Jennie is survived by her daughters, Lorena Aday of Seven Mile, Sadie Burnette of Hon Dah, Fina Kane of Whiteriver, Josephine Dazen of Whiteriver and Rebecca Thomas of Cibecue; sons, Earldean Thomas Sr, of Whiteriver, Philbert Thomas, Sr. of Cibecue and Philander Thomas of Cibecue; daughter-in-law, Elvira Thomas; son-in-laws, Steve Aday, Glen Burnette, Michael Kane, Dennis Dazen and Scott Lee; sisters, Ida Lupe and Gussis Dehose; brother, Abner Tesay, Sr.; and 28 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband Royal Thomas. A home service will be held Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. with Bishop Grant Lee of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in the Open Range Cemetery in Cibecue. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
