Roger Clawson, Sr., 75, had the greatest Christmas ever. He went to Celebrate Jesus' birthday with him.
He was a Korean War Veteran and a lifelong resident of Cedar Creek Community, and was born March 27, 1928 and died Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2003 at the University Medical Center in Tucson.
Roger is survived by his wife of 52 years, Julia (Thomas) Clawson; children, June and Milton Bush, Colleen and Dennis Faden I, Virginia Clawson and Adolph Cosen, Arlene and Sylvester Altaha, Pamela Anderson, Pricilla and Dave Ethelbah, and Roger Clawson, Jr.; grandchildren, Ferguson Palmer; Dennis II, Florentina, Tonya, Emily and Angela Faden, Hershel and Latoria Anderson, Dustin and Danielle Ethelbah; brother, Kanzie Clawson, Sr.; and five sisters, Mary Cromwell, Juana Kane, Belinta Ivins, Jennie Massey, and Lula James.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. at the John F. Kennedy School in Cedar Creek. A wake will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2 at his home in Cedar Creek. Internment will be in the R-14 Crossing Cemetery in Cedar Creek.
