James R. Steere, 72, of Seligman, Ariz., born Aug. 22, 1937, in Van Nuys, Calif., passed away Feb. 27, 2010, in Prescott. 

A private cremation will be at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley, followed by inurnment at Prescott National Cemetery.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin assisted the family with final arrangement.
