LUCERO, Grace

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/09/2004 Grace Lucero, 55, St. Johns, died at home, Jan. 3, 2004, after a lengthy illness. She was born March 12, 1948 in St. Johns. Grace was a custodian at Northern Arizona University for 23 years. She loved to play Bingo and had a passion for singing and dancing. In her spare time she liked to knit. Her survivors include her daughter, Jan Lucero; son-in-law, Phillip Bazan; brothers, Luis, Daniel, Kenneth, Frank, Steve, Raymond and Jesse Lucero; sisters, Dorothy and Cindy. She is preceded in death by her father, Bonifacio and recently, her mother, Inez; a brother, Edward; and sister, Margaret. A combined funeral mass and memorial service was held for Grace and Inez Lucero Wednesday, Jan. 7, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. Johns. Rosary took place Tuesday, Jan. 6, at the same location. Jewkes Mortuary, St. Johns handled the arrangements.
