The Arizona Republic 3/7/2010 Wastchak, Doreen C. After a valiant fight with heart disease, Doreen passed away peacefully on March 2, 2010, at age 70, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband David, of 39 years, and brother Paul. She was an adored wife, a cherished mother, a doting grandmother "Memere", a treasured sister and a loyal friend. She is survived by her sister Anne, her sons David, Daniel, Daran and Devan, her daughter Donna, and 11 grandchildren. Born May 26, 1939 in Waterville, Maine, she attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston where she met and married David. They moved to Scottsdale in 1965 and then to Tempe in 1977. A talented artist, she particularly lov ed painting, photography and music. She also loved to travel and most of all spend time with her friends and family. There are very few people in this world who touch so many people's lives in a positive way. Doreen was one of those people who will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have know n her. Her life will remembered at the Solera Chandler Club House, 6360 S. Mountain Blvd on March 28, 2010 with a commemoration from 11:00am-12:30 pm followed by a celebration of her life.
