Derek Quilici, 8, of Paradise Valley, AZ passed away November 17, 2002.
Derek was born in Minneapolis, MN, October 14, 1994.
Shortly after his birth he moved to Tucson, AZ and then to the Scottsdale area in 1997. He started First Impressions Pre-school, attended Camelback Desert School and finally, Cherokee Elementary School in Paradise Valley. Derek enjoyed baseball, soccer, bike riding, and snowboarding. Derek earned his black belt in karate last year. Some of his favorite things were being with his dad in Reno, visiting his grandpa's ranch in Carson City, and spending time with grandparents Will and Teri. He loved playing with his brother, Kyle, stepbrothers, stepsister and his dog, Boomer.
Derek was enjoying one of his favorite activities, bike riding during the last moments of his life. His smile and laughter will be missed greatly but never forgotten.
Derek is survived by his father, Dave Quilici; mother, Tania Kellermeyer; stepfather, Scott Campbell; stepmother, Tricia Hernandez; brother, Kyle Richard; stepsister, Lauren Campbell; stepbrothers, Kyle and Justin Campbell; and grandparents, Joann and Sal Quilici, Teri and William Evans and Virginia Kellermeyer.
Visitation and Scripture Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2002 at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale, AZ.
