SKAFF, George F.

George F. Skaff, 91, died peacefully at his home in Florence, AZ Oct. 26, 2002. He was born in Skogmo, ND Sept. 22, 1911. 

An avid sports fan, George played football, basketball & baseball. He attended Dickinson State & taught at McClusky, Washburn & Elbowoods & officiated at basketball games throughout ND. 

He married his high school sweetheart, Myrtle Carvell, July 28, 1935. 

He owned grocery stores & later was in sales. 

Surviving is his loving wife of 67 years; daughters, Marilyn Schlafman & Pat Bitzer, Florence, AZ & Janet Bakeberg, Maple Lake, MN, in addition to many adoring grand/great-grandchildren. Also, his brother Sam Skaff, Moorhead, MN., sisters, Gen Abraham, Hollywood, CA & Marge Torkelson, Fargo, ND. A celebration of George's life will be held later to be announced. The family requests no flowers please.
