ELLINGTON, Eugene (Gene) F. Sr.

Eugene "Gene' F. Ellington, Sr., passed away November 16, 2002. Born February 17, 1934 in Phoenix, AZ. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He is survived by his companion Sue; three sons, Gene (Kay), Charles (Carrie), and Steve (Lisa); one daughter, Connie (Dan) Ellington-Matich; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary (Bruce) Jackson and Patty (Ron) Schellhase; several nieces and nephews; and many, many friends. Gene was past commander at the American Legion Post #1. He lived in Phoenix all his life and retired from US West in 1994 after 39 years of service. A memorial service will be held Thursday November 21 at the American Legion Post #1. Funeral Services November 25 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd.
