TROMPETER, Norman


The Arizona Republic 3/10/2010 Norman Lee Trompeter passed away on Sunday March 7th 2010. He was 87 years old and lived in Scottsdale, Arizona for 37 years. He was born on April 9th, 1922 in Kansas. At age 20 he entered the Army and served during World War II in the Pacific theatre with the Signal Corp. After the war he attended Washburn University and received his bachelor's degree in accounting. He went to work for Armour Foods as a construction property accountant where he met and fell in love with Lois Marie Szegedin. Norman and Lois were married for 57 years and raised three children. Norman worked for the same company for 38 years and retired in 1986. Norman is preceded in death by his Parents, Charles and Letha Trompeter, and his brothers Bob and Victor. He is survived by his wife Lois, children Deborah, Tom (Terry), and Joyce (Bert), his grandchildren Kevin and Colleen Marie and his sister Florence. Services are set for Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at Noon at Green Acres Mortuary at 401 N Hayden Road With graveside service at 2pm at the National Memorial Cemetery at 23029 N Cave Creek Rd in Phoenix.
