JANE ATALOYD ASHLEY MESA, Ariz. Jane Ataloyd Ashley passed away March 5, 2010. Her brave battle with ovarian cancer came to an end peacefully with her family at her side. She was born Feb. 23, 1932, in Oregon, Ill.; the daughter of Clyde and Esther Myers, and one of eight brothers and sisters. Jane was a loving caregiver to five generations of her family, the last being eight of her great-grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was always busy with her hands knitting, sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She was a light that will forever burn brightly in our hearts. Survived by children, Allison West (Lonnie), Beth Armer and David Ashley; siblings, Karl Myers and Janell Diehl; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; three brothers; two sisters; grandson, Justin West; and great-granddaughter, Miranda. Memorial service at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 14, in Velda Rose United Methodist Church, 5540 E. Main St., Mesa. Rockford Resgister Star Rockford, IL
