DILLARD, Robert Joseph


Robert Joseph "Buzz" Dillard, 64, a Casa Grande native, died Nov. 21, 2002 at home. Mr. Dillard was born April 21, 1938 to Lera and Howard Dillard. He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School. He owned Sandhill Farms and Roadrunner Bus Lines. He also worked at Saylor Farms and most recently for Barnes & Son Harvesting. He formerly was a member of Pinal County Sheriff's Posse and Pinal County Rodeo Association. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Musically talented, he enjoyed playing his mandolin for family and social gatherings. He was a lifelong Casa Grande resident. Survivors include two daughters, Joni Tracy of Waterloo, Wis., and Kimala Rein of Anchorage; two sons, Robert L. "Bo" Dillard of Casa Grande and Korey N. Dillard-Straub of Phoenix; a sister, Geraldine Woratzeck of Safford; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Garnita "Ann" Scriven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Cameron. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Casa Grande Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Visitation Monday, November 25, 2002, at Calvary Southern Baptist Church. The funeral there will follow with the Rev. Tom Schramm officiating. Published Saturday, November 23, 2002
