ALSENAY, Marintha


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/12/2010 Marintha Alsenay went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2010, in Show Low. She was born Feb. 20, 1942, in Fort Apache. "She will be dearly missed and there will be a special place in our hearts that no one else can ever fill." Marintha is survived by her husband Jerry Alsenay; granddaughters Samantha Jim, Bernita Case and Miranda Jim; daughter Bonnie Skidmore; sisters Anita Yazzie, Sandra Palmer and Lucinda Palmer; brothers Zane Palmer and Loy Palmer; grandsons Phillip Case and Emmanuel Jim Jr.; eight great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her sons David Jim Jr. (Bayboy), Emmanuel Jim Sr.; parents John and Lucy Palmer and grandson Thornton Case. Marintha's body will be brought back to Samantha Jim's residence at Fort Apache Junction in Whiteriver for a two night awake at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 11, with funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Riverside Church in East Fork with Pastor Valentina Begay officiating. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery in Whiteriver. Silver Creek Chapel Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
