The Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, Arizona April 21, 1993 George Degree of Glendale, a former Wickenburg resident, died Friday, April 9, 1993, in Glendale. He was 77. He was born May 20, 1915, at New Brunswick, N. J., and had lived in Arizona for 12 years. He was a restaurant and motel owner before his retirement, a middle weight boxing champion in New Jersey, a Coast Guard veteran and enjoyed bowling. He is survived by his former wife, Jackie Vohn, of Wickenburg; daughters Michele of Phoenix; and brothers Alex and Johnny Degree of New Jersey. Services have been held with interment at the V.A. Cemetery in Phoenix. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Frey Funeral Home in Wickenburg handled the arrangements.
