TRAYNOR, Thomas

The Arizona Republic 3/15/2010 Traynor, Thomas "TJ" James Passed away peacefully, March 11, 2010 surrounded by his family, as was his wish. T.J was born October 1, 1979, in Michigan where his father, Thomas Lee and wife Rosann still reside. He was an incredible person, born with Cystic Fibrosis, he spent many hours in the hospital as he did at home. Therefore his "family" extends from the University of Tucson Medical Center, Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix and Mesa. In a family with a terminally ill boy, you share the wealth, so his loving family in Arizona which is led by his mother, Julie Barrett and her husband Mike Barrett, shared this wonderful "child of God" with his grandparents, Jim and Joan Smith, his special aunts, Jamie Daane, Jilleen Austin, and Jenise Keyes. The rest of his immediate family includes, grandparents, Walter and Shirley Barrett, two brothers, Nickolas Traynor and Paul Barrett, three uncles, Terry Daane, Timothy Schroeder, and Ronald Smith, as well as a great grandmother, cousins, and nephews, too numerous to mention. In addition, T.J, was blessed with tons of Facebook friends. T.J. did not have it easy, but he was the bravest, happiest person in the world with a smile and a thank you for everyone who showed him kindness. His "baby blues" would light up your life and warm your heart. T.J will be missed, so much but he left us with his favorite saying "Living it Like No Tomorrow", and we will all try to remember to do just that! Family and Friends are welcome to attend a celebration of T.J's life which will be held at Red Mountain Park in Mesa, on Sunday, March 21st, from Noon to 2:00 pm. A scholarship in T.J's name has been established thru the American Lung Association in Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to; The Thomas James Traynor Scholarship Fund, The American Lung Association in Arizona, 102 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85003.
