The Arizona Republic 3/15/2010 Sauve', Evelyn Chilton, 84, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on March 8, 2010. Evelyn Colleen (Chilton) Sauve', born February 18, 1926, in Miami, Arizona, youngest child and only daughter of Tom and Maud Cosper Chilton. She passed away on March 8, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. Evelyn married Roy Sauve' on March 3, 1945, to whom she was married 65 years. Evelyn graduated from Arizona State Teachers College in 1947. A life-long Sun Devil, she passed her love of ASU and learning to her children. Evelyn was a selfless educator, retiring after more than 30 years as an elementary school teacher. Evelyn is survived by husband Roy, daughters Camille, Cari (Dave Worden), and Lynne, grandchildren Andrea Sauve'-Worden, Jessica Lennon, Ashley Lennon-Rabon (Daniel), Ken Sauve', Megan and David Worden, Ken, Jean, and Lana McClaran and great granddaughter, Madison Sauve'-Worden. Evelyn and Roy lived over 50 years in the White Mountains owning Pinecrest Cabins and Roy Sauve' Realty. Evelyn was an accomplished organist for the Episcopal Church and the Mizpah Chapter of Eastern Star, serving many years as their State Organist. Evelyn spent years as a volunteer for the Larson Library in Lakeside and Navapache Hospital in Showlow. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 20 at 10am at St. Augustine's Episcopal Parish, 1735 South College Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85281. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Heart Association .
