BREMHORST, Robert


The Arizona Republic 3/14/2010 Robert "Ed" Bremhorst, beloved Father and Grandfather passed away on February 21, 2010. Ed was born in 1916 to Herman and Frances (Gibbs) in Ottumwa, Iowa. In 1934 he married Mary Crossley. Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife (Mary) of 71 years in 2005, two daughters Mary Katherine (Floyd) in 2001, Margaret Jane at birth, six brothers (Otto, Charlie, Henry, Bernard, John Paul, George) and one sister, Caroline. His one remaining brother (Harry) lives in Tulsa, OK. Ed was a WWII survivor serving overseas aboard the US Navy Ship, Liberty. Ed worked 22 years for Lowenberg Bakery in Ottumwa, IA. He was promoted in 1950 to Divisional Sales Manager and moved to Burlington, IA. In 1966, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and continued his success as a Real Estate Broker for Continental Homes. He traveled extensively with his wife until she developed Alzheimer's in 1990. Ed's passion was golf and a good party with family and friends. He loved to joke with others, sing and tell stories. Ed is survived by his two loving daughters, Frankie Miller, Scottsdale, AZ; Martha Deahl (Chuck), Phoenix, AZ; nine grandchildren, two step grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Private services have been held.
