Earl N. Fifer passed away on March 10, 2010. He was born December 2, 1917 in Arthur, Illinois to parents, Jess Eldon Fifer and Bessie Crane (Fifer). His school days were in Tuscola, Illinois, where he graduated in 1935. He found work as a machinist in Indianapolis where he met and courted June Pennington. In 1954, the family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Earl worked for the Post office for 33 years and after retirement he enjoyed golfing and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, June and second wife, Janet. He is survived by his brother, Walt Fifer of Indianapolis, IN, son, Larry Fifer of Fontana, CA, daughter, Pattie Totten of Phoenix, AZ, grandchildren, Larry Robert and Johnny Earl of Oklahoma, Jeff McDonald of Riverside, CA and Darren Totten of Columbia, MO and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Chapel, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85009. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in remembrance of Earl Fifer to Hospice of the Valley/East, 1510 E.
