David E. Bushie, former resident of Dolan Springs, passed away Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, in Grand Forks, N.D. He was born May 14, 1943, in Caribou, Minn.
He was a cement finisher and carpenter by trade. He bought his first Harley-Davidson in his teens and rode for many years.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Myrtle (Ogorek) Bushie of Dolan Springs; and two brothers, Al and Bob Bushie. He leaves to grieve his wife Marion of Thief River Falls, Minn.; his children, one being Jenni (Duane) Rubash, formerly of Kingman; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Iris Jackson of Dolan Springs; and many relatives and friends.
Dave fought a long, tough battle after suffering a massive stroke in 1990 which left him confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Still, he managed to keep his easy smile, quick wit and sharp mind. He was loved by many and will be missed.
