ASHCROFT, Phillip Wallace

The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, Arizona December 13, 2004 Phillip Wallace Ashcroft, 69, of Mesa, AZ.,born in Eagar, AZ.on August 17, 1935 entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 9,2004. A CPA by trade, Phil was a confidant and friend to many. He had great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and gave of himself to many, even to strangers. He served his fellowman on a mission in Mexico and in many LDS church callings. His public service included a tour in the Army during the Korean War and terms on the Round Valley School Board and Arizona Game and Fish Commission. His greatest love was his family, who look forward to reuniting with him some day. He is already missed dearly by his wife, Leah Elaine Ray Ashcroft, and five children: Lisa Miller (and spouse Darrell), James Phillip Ashcroft (Kathleen), Julie Rae Ashcroft, Kerri Prouty (Orlando), and Shelley Alexander (Kevin), 10 grandchildren, his mother-in-law Leah Ray, sisters: Bobbie, Sharon, Susie and Wally, and brothers: Ross and LaVerl. Services will be held Monday, Dec. 13, 12:00 noon, LDS chapel, 1500 E. 6th Ave. in Mesa. Viewing 6-8 pm Sunday, Dec. 12. Bunkers Funeral Home - Garden Chapel in Mesa.
