The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/16/2010 Arlene Dale Peters Ray, 63, of Eagar died peacefully March 10, 2010, after a 2-½ year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born to John and Vivian Peters Nov. 24, 1946, in Springerville. Her family resided in Luna, N.M., until her sophomore year of high school when they moved to Eagar. Arlene was a waitress and loved western dancing and working in her yard. She enjoyed traveling with CB, "the love of her life" and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her wonderful husband CB Ray; children Alvin Wayne Stover, Doug Stover, Cindy (Dusty) Eagar, Dennis (Tiffany) Stover, and Suzanna (Troy) Taylor; step-children Johnny (Janice) Ray, Jerry (Jean) Ray, Jimmy (Kartha) Ray, Jay (Leann) Ray, Jana (Ryan) Mangum; 24 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and six siblings Lonny (Pauline) Peters, Nona (Wayne) Scott, Lillian (Sonny) Tisdell, Wayne (Cathy) Peters, Keith (Cynthia) Peters and Bobby (Sug) Peters. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John D. Peters and Roland Peters and sister Rosalee Reynolds. A viewing was held Sunday, March 14, at Burnham Mortuary in Eagar with funeral service held Monday, March 15, at the Eagar Stake Center.
