Paula Gray McFadden Lamb Calhoon passed away peacefully at her home in Houston, Texas. She was born Aug. 21,1924, in Hemphill, Texas, to Erve and Orie Cleveland McFadden. She was raised in Louisiana and McNary.
She moved to Texas and married Clarence Lamb of Kirbyville, Texas. Several years after Clarence's death in 1983, she married Branch Nixon Calhoon, a childhood friend from McNary, and moved back to Pinetop to be in her beloved White Mountains. Nixon preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stevelyn and Robert Buenger of Houston; grandson, Scott Willis (Sabrina) of Anchorage, Alaska; two great-grandsons Stephen and Geoffrey, both of Anchorage; and step-grandson Robert Buenger Jr. of Chicago, Ill.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 20, at Vitas Hospice Foundation, 4848 Loop Central Dr., Suite 650, Houston, TX 77081
Funeral services were provided by EE Stringer in Kirbyville, Texas.
