The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/20/2004 Thelma Rogers Brinkerhoff, 85, died Jan. 12, 2004 at Navapache Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 4, 1919 in Snowflake, beloved daughter of John and Mary Rogers. She was a long time resident of Snowflake. She married Don Brinkerhoff Oct. 5, 1939 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Thelma's kind and gentle ways will long be remembered by all who knew her. She is survived by four sons, John of Provo, Utah, Larry of Snowflake, Noel of Derby, Kansas and Lane of Snowflake; four daughters, Helen Brinkerhoff of Manti, Utah, Gail Hancock of Heber, Carma Foulger of Gilbert and Margie Reed of Gilbert; 40 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one brother, Daryl Rogers of Winslow; five sisters, Mabel Wilhelm of St. Johns, Geneva Willis of Snowflake, Nyla DeWitt of Phoenix, Marge Taylor of Snowflake and Linda Anderson of Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don and two sons, Douglas and George. Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 17 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Snowflake Main Street Chapel. Owens Mortuary of Snowflake handled arrangements.
