KESLAR, Ruth Ellan

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona 01/23/2004 Ruth Ellan Keslar, 78, died Jan. 19. 2004 at her home in Show Low. Ruth was born in Orrville, Ohio and was raised by her foster parents. Olin and Rachel Shoar in Beloit, Ohio. She married Roy M. Keslar Nov. 10, 1946; they were married for 55 years. Together they had two children. In 1968, they moved to Phoenix where they lived until 1993, when they moved to Show Low. Ruth was a faithful member of the White Mountain Bible Church. She was an accomplished artist, seamstress and cook. She also enjoyed gardening and reading. Ruth was a joy to be with. Her purpose in life was to, in all things let the love of Christ shine in her so that others would see and glorify him. Ruth is survived by her son, Ken (Nancy) Keslar of Yuma; daughter, Cheri (Bill) Young of Phoenix; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. at The White Mountain Bible Church. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to RTA Hospice of The White Mountains. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
