HUNSINGER, Eloyne

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/30/2004 Eloyne Hunsinger, 99, died in Tucson Jan. 24, 2004. She was born Oct. 29, 1904 in Lucedale, Mississippi. In 1913, she moved to Arizona. Eloyne came to Show Low in 1947 with her husband and opened their business "Hunsinger Electric" which they operated until 1965, in the building where the pet store is now located. Eloyne lived on Central Avenue for many years. In 1988, she needed to be in a warmer climate and so she moved to Tucson where she lived in a senior care center. Eloyne is survived by her cousin, Mrs. A.B. White of Tucson; and her trusted friend and caregiver, Trina Thompson-Matel of Colorado. Grave side services were held Thursday, Jan. 29 at The Show Low Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
