The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/30/2004 Wilson Kelley, 91, died Jan. 25, 2004 in Snowflake. Wilson was born 1912 in Alton, Illinois. He met Ruby and they were married for 66 incredible years. They had two children. Wilson was a partner in a gasoline service station until the family moved to Arkansas in 1953 where he became a rice farmer. Moving to Arizona in 1961, Wilson briefly has a gas station franchise before becoming a union welder. For the last 15 years, Wilson and Ruby spent their summers in the beautiful White Mountains where he enjoyed fishing, quail hunting and the outdoors. Wilson is survived by his wife Ruby; two sons, Thornton (Sharon) Kelley of Tempe, Gene (Dianne) Kelley of Show Low; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Love Baptist Church in Glendale. Interment will be in the Resthaven Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled arrangements.
