Sandy was born April 17, 1939 in Whittier, California to Woodford and Kathryn McAdams. He attended St. Benedict's grade school where he met the love of his life, Mary Judith Fallis. He graduated from Montebello High School and later served in the United States Air Force as a still photographer. He moved to Phoenix while stationed at Luke Air Force Base. Sandy and Judy were married in 1961. After spending almost 5 years in the Air Force, Sandy spent his professional career working as a Private Investigator and Process Server.
His fondest memories of his work included the years he would dress up as Santa Claus for the major law firms in Phoenix. Sandy retired from Fleming Attorney Services in 2005. Sandy was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church for 48 years, where he served as "head chef" for major parish events for three decades, most notably the St. Patrick's day party, New Years Eve parties, Scout events, Parish festivals, Home School events,Radio Family Rosary dinners, and Priest appreciation dinners.
He spent much of his life and time devoted to Most Holy Trinity, both in Boy Scouts and as a 3rd and 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. Sandy was known for his fantastic cooking skills, his warm smile, and his generous heart. He enjoyed camping, photography and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. While not a worldly wealthy man, Sandy would often say that he was the richest man he knew, because he was so loved by his family and friends.
Sandy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy, and their children: son, Tim McAdams, five daughters (and sons-in-law) Monica (Steve) Blasko, Mary (Matthew) Garrett, Susan (Chris) Schmaltz, Barbara (Shawn) Bratton, Margaret (Mike) Salsburg, as well as his twelve grandchildren: Stephanie & Michael Blasko; Andrew, Becka & Thomas Garrett; Katarina, Kristin & Keira Schmaltz; Courtney, Cecilia, Abby & Maggie Bratton and his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law Patrick & Carolyn Fallis, Larry & Ditas Fallis.
