Dardis, Brennan James -Mass of Christian Burial for Brennan James Dardis, 26 Tempe, AZ, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora.
Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Mr. Dardis died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, in Phoenix, AZ. He was born January 19, 1984, in Fort Campbell, TN, the son of Dr. and Mrs. Mark Dardis. He graduated with honors from Brophy College Preparatory, Phoenix, AZ in 2002.
He wrote several compositions for guitar and sang lead vocal for a Phoenix band while in high school. He also played violin in the school orchestra in middle school and high school. Mr. Dardis attended Gonzaga University and the University of Arizona and had majored in pre-medicine. He was an Eagle Scout, Troop 14, Phoenix, AZ, and a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Phoenix, AZ. Mr. Dardis was an ardent Arizona Diamondbacks baseball fan and always championed the underdog.
Survivors include his parents Mark and Melissa (Laughlin) Dardis, his girl friend, Rebecca Anderson, all of Phoenix; a grandmother, Helen Dardis, Lawrence; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Laughlin and Michael Dardis. A rosary will be received at 6pm Tuesday at the Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home where the family will receive friends following the rosary.
