Beronica M. Gilbert, 27, a security guard for Mervyns Stores, died March 25, 1986, at Good Samaritan Medical Center.  Miss Gilbert, of Phoenix, was born in Fayetteville, N.C., and moved to Arizona five years ago from Sydney, Ohio.  Survivors include her mother, Lola Schmelcer; father, Geroge; and grandmother, Stella Fitzpatrick.  Friends may call from 5 to 8pm today, with services at 11am Friday, at Hansen Mortuary, 8314 N. Seventh St.
