Lillie Naomi Heward, 62, died Feb. 7, 2004 in Glendale.
She was born in Morenci, 1941 to Raymond and Butrice Rice. Bunny was raised in several parts of New Mexico and Arizona. She spent most of her teenage years in Thatcher, where she graduated from high school in 1959.
Bunny attended college where she met Dick Heward and together were married Sept. 7, 1960, in the Mesa Arizona Temple. They lived in Flagstaff and Show Low for a short time before settling in Woodruff, where they raised their family for 28 years. For the past 10 years, Bunny and Dick lived in Thoreau, New Mexico and recently moved back home to Woodruff. Bunny enjoyed playing the piano. She was asked to play piano as a church calling in several areas where they lived. Bunny was a loving and caring mother, wife and friend to many.
Bunny is survived by her husband of 43 years, Talbot "Dick" Heward of Woodruff; five sons, Darell (Christine) of Phoenix, Bryan (finance, Alysia) of Woodruff, Lee (Christina) of Mesa, Ricky (Candy) of Deer Valley and Mark (Jessica) of Apache Jct.; two daughters, Rhonda (Don) Hatch of Woodruff, Novlyn (Keith) Wilhelm of Woodruff; 17 grandchildren; three brothers, Dale, Paul and Marty; and one sister Sheri.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment will be in the Woodruff Cemetery.
