Rolland Clinton Splittgerber, 79, of Omaha. A former farmer in Wayne County, Wayne, Nebraska.
He was a hostler and truck driver for Burlington Northern, Newberry and Consolidated Freightways in Omaha and North Platte, Nebraska, and Angola, Indiana. He enjoyed an active retirement in Mesa, and Show Low.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife: Rosemary Eastlack Splittgerber and is survived by son, Paul (Ann) Ireland Splittgerber of Nehawka, Nebraska; sisters, Dorothy Malcolm of Jenks, Oklahoma, Margie (Norman) Wendt, and Evie Wolverton, both of Norfolk, Nebraska. Grandchildren: Rebecca and Jeff Howard of Lenexa, Kansas, Allison and Spencer Bogaard of Otley, Iowa, Zach Splittgerber of Nehawka, Nebraska; great-grandsons: Grant (Caden) of Lenexa, Kansas, aunts, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loyal friends.
A memorial celebrating his life was held Saturday, Feb. 14 at Pacific Hills Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Thomas Fitzgerald Veteran's Home's Activities fund, 15345 West Maple Road Omaha, Nebraska 68116.
