BOWERS, Vada Lee


The Arizona Republic 3/18/2010 Bowers, Vada Lee, 75, passed away peacefully on March 14th, 2010 in Ventana Lakes (Peoria), Arizona. Vada was born and raised in Sumner, Washington, and had lived in Arizona since 1970. Vada enjoyed life with her friends and family. She traveled widely, was a longtime Girl Scout leader, and served many years as the office manager for the Greenway YMCA. She was very active in the Ventana Lakes Community, where she served multiple times as a board member of the Ventana Lakes Home Owners Association. Vada was very artistic and creative; she was a talented crafter and painter. She was extremely intelligent and witty, and was a voracious reader. She always thought of others first and was usually the first to help in any situation. Everyone who knew her were family in her home. Vada is survived by her son Steve Bowers and his wife Pam of Glendale, Arizona, and her grandson Jared Bowers of New Orleans, Louisiana. A celebration of Vada's life will be held at the Ventana Lakes Clubhouse, 20015 N. 108th Ave, Peoria, Az, this coming Sunday March 21st, at 1:00pm. All of Vada's friends ad neighbors are welcome.
