Allen, Joan C., 74, of Peoria, AZ passed away on March 15, 2010. Born on October 4, 1935 to Henry and Alma Evert of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She shared a happy childhood with her three siblings. 

On October 19, 1957, she married Lee Allen and together they began the journey that united a small town country boy and a big city girl. Throughout her "service" as the wife of a man in the armed forces she welcomed the role of loving mother to six wonderful children. Many admire the immense strength, unwavering faith and interminable generosity Joan showed throughout her time on earth. 

Joan is survived by her husband of 52 years, Lee Allen; Children: Lee Jr. (Mary), Karen, Richard (Ellen), Robert and Randy (Anita); Sisters Gerry and Carol; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Preceded by daughter Kimberly, brother Richard and brothers-in-law Joseph and Don. 

Mass will be said in her honor on Saturday March 20, 2010 at St. Helen's Church in Glendale, AZ at 8:30am.
