STAFFORD, Bob

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/17/2004 Bob Stafford, 82, died in Show Low Feb. 11, 2004. He was born in Memphis, Texas. In his early years he moved to Newport, California, met and married Jean Thomas. They had two beautiful children. Bob and Jean moved to Santa Cruz where Bob joined the Navy to help defend his country during WWII. After the war they moved to Whittier, California where Bob worked as a maintenance foreman. After he retired, they moved to Lakeside where he greatly enjoyed fishing. Bob also enjoyed traveling, camping and the outdoors. Bob is survived by his daughter, Gloria (Jesse) Shaw of Phoenix; one brother, Richard Stafford of Santa Cruz, California; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his companion Toni Pack of Lakeside. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean Stafford; son Gary Stafford; one brother Gene Stafford. Funeral services were held at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Whittier, California with interment in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled arrangements
