He was 84. Bill was born October 10, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Franklin and Eva (Cox) Price. The Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the St. Rita's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens, Show Low with the ricitation of the holy rosay at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in the Show Low Cemetery. ~~~~~~~~~~~ The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/26/2010 In loving memory of my beloved husband and best friend, William Elvis Price of Show Low, who died surrounded by his loving family Friday, March 19, 2010, in Mesa. He was 84 years old. Bill was born October 10, 1925, in Wichita, Kan., to the late Franklin and Eva (Cox) Price. William was employed for 28 years by the Department of Water and Power for the City of Los Angeles, where he was respected and loved by all. He retired as an electrical engineer in 1980 and moved to Show Low, where he has since resided enjoying the beauty of the White Mountains. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and served honorably during World War II. He also belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Bill was a man who blessed our lives with joy, honor and a great sense of humor. He will be so greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Hazel Marie Price; son Steven W. Price (Sherrill); daughters Kathleen L. Price (David Butler), Solange Bovier; step-daughters Linda D. Buchanan (Curtis), Debbie M. Cooper (Dave), Gina B. Balmer; 17 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Morgan Cooper. Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, March 25, at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 1400 E. Owens in Show Low with the recitation of the Holy Rosary one-hour priorto services. The concluding service and graveside blessing followed at the Show Low Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Bill's name to Hospice of The Valley, 777 W. Southern Avenue, Ste. #301, Mesa, Arizona 85210 have been suggested by his family. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Show Low handled arrangements.
