ORLANDO, Harry G.


The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/20/2004 Harry G. Orlando, 88, joined his beloved wife, Wanda, of 51 years in eternal peace Jan. 24, 2004. He was born Feb. 19, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois where he grew up and supported the war effort by working as a machinist in defense plants and serving as a civil defense fireman. Harry moved his family west in 1951 to Tucson, working as a bartender at "The Spur" on Grant Road until Hughes Aircraft opened the following year, where he worked as a Project Engineer retiring in Sept. 1971. The love for fishing combining with their longtime goal of outdoor living enabled them to spend retirement years in the Arizona White Mountains, where Harry remained after his wife's passing 1988. All of his life, he helped others with any type of construction projects-indoors and out. He is survived by his children, George of San Bernardino, California and Linda; grandsons, Ken and Scott, all of Phoenix. any contributions can be made to the care home that took superior care of him-Genesis, 5017 E.
