ROGERS, Betty Jean

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/27/2004 Betty Jean Rogers, 73, of Mesa died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2004 in Mesa after a long bout with cancer. Mrs. Rogers was born in Dekalb, Illinois and was employed as a hotel receptionist. Betty Jean and her husband, Donald E. Rogers moved from the Pinetop-Lakeside area several years ago. She loved to travel, loved her family, friends. Also enjoyed recreational activities at Springdale Village Retirement Home in Mesa. She is survived by her two sisters-in-law, Barbara Gordon of Phoenix and Joann Richey of Mesa; two brothers-in-law, Richard Richardson of Norfolk, Nebraska and Charles Richey of Mesa; nieces, Gwen Gordon of Phoenix and Kathie Jackson of Phoenix; nephews, David Gordon of Los Angeles, California and Bret Richey of Mesa. Her husband Donald E. Rogers precedes her in death. She will be cremated and scattering of her ashes over the Superstition Mountains by airplane is handled by Apache Junction Mortuary.
