HOEF, RuthAnn Caroline Elizabeth

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 02/27/2004 RuthAnn Caroline Elizabeth Hoef RuthAnn Hoef, 83, died Feb. 23, 2004 in Show Low. She was born in Chester, Illinois in 1921. After graduating high school she met the love of her life, Wilbert Hoef and they were married. They had a son, Jerry and moved to Arizona. While Wilbert pursued his career as an electronics repairman, they had a second son, Roger. In the 70s they moved to Pinetop where RuthAnn greatly enjoyed the White Mountains. She loved baking and also was quite adapt at sketching people from photos. RuthAnn also spent her spare time playing the piano. RuthAnn is survived by her husband, Wilbert Hoef; two sons, Jerry (Irene) Hoef of Tucson, Roger Hoef of Tucson. Other survivors include, Marlene (Earl) Osburn of Casa Grande, and Kenneth Hoef of Las Vegas, Nevada. No services are scheduled at this time. Owens Mortuary of Show Low handled the arrangements.
