SKOUSEN, D'Wayne James (Rusty)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 01/23/2009 D'Wayne James "Rusty" Skousen died Jan. 17, 2009. He was born Feb. 2, 1960, the third son of Eldon and Marlene Skousen and brother to Michael (deceased), Chris, David, Darren and DeeDee. He is also survived by two sons, Dustin (Miranda) and David, and a daughter, Cassy (Wes). Rusty was a nature lover and enjoyed walking through the woods by the hours. He found great joy in solitude and would learn about wild animals and could expound knowledge of rocks and plants on a whim. He married and later divorced Lucy Anne Amos. He loved his family and was completely satisfied to work hard to support them. He suffered severe depression and found he could no longer be the father he always wanted to be. He was grandfather to two sweet babies, Kylee Rae and Lilee Anne, from daughter Cassy. He wanted to be able to be a part of their lives. Funeral services will be held in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Lakeside Stake Center Chapel Saturday, Jan. 24, at 10:30 a.m. with a family viewing in the Relief Society room at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Alpine cemetery.
