WEST, Harold Oscar

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/23/2004 Harold O. West died peacefully at his home near Eagar March 17, 2004. He was born Nov. 19, 1911 in Fort Collins, Colo. He married Evelyn Lewis in 1946. He was a surveyor for the Los Angeles City Flood Control. Harold taught school for 10 years. He spent the last 14 years of his life in Arizona. His survivors include son Maurice (Morrie and Ann Gunnels) R. Allen, Eagar; sisters Evie West, California, and Patricia Bonzon, Washington; grandchildren Laura Byrd, Stacy, Kirk and Rick Allen; and one great grandchild Kendra Byrd. He was preceded in death by his wife Rachel West, son Richard S. Allen and brother Elbert West. Graveside services were held at the Eagar Cemetery, March 22. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary handled the arrangements.
