Diana Schroeder, 73, died Monday, March 15, 2010. She passed peacefully at her home in Flagstaff with her family.
Born in Portland, Ore. on Sept. 11, 1936, to Robert and Lenore West. Mrs. Schroeder attended Lewis & Clark College and worked as an administrative assistant for many years. She loved cooking, sewing, reading and spending time with her grandsons. She was loved by many, and she approached her fight with cancer with the same grace, style and sense of humor she was known to have had throughout her life.
She leaves behind her husband of 50 years, Milt; son Kurt Schroeder and his partner, Jennifer Schaber, of Flagstaff; son Mark Schroeder, his wife, Mary, and two grandsons, of Phoenix; and her two beloved huskies.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother Dr. John Elwood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 27, at Church of the Nativity, 16 W. Cherry Ave. A burial service will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery.
A reception celebrating her life will begin at noon at Matterhorn Grill, 103 W. Birch Ave. In lieu of flowers, it would have been her wishes that donations be made to local charities.
