SMITH, Daniel Patrick

The Arizona Republic 3/22/2010 Smith, Daniel Patrick was born May 30, 1969, passed away last week. He was born in Phoenix and lived in Arizona his entire life. He attended Pueblo Elementary and Mohave Middle Schools in Scottsdale. He graduated from Gerard High School in 1988. From there, he attended the University of Arizona and graduated with a degree in English and a minor in Spanish. He also did graduate studies at Arizona State University. His most recent employer was Goodwill Industries. He was a sensitive and caring person who was loved and will be missed. He enjoyed reading books, writing and hanging out at the Coffee Bean at Miller and Indian School roads. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas J. Smith. He is survived by his mother Mary Smith, brother Kevin Smith (Leann), sisters Kathleen Smith, Susan Turner (Michael) and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph The Worker at P.O. Box 13503, Phoenix, Arizona, 85002. A memorial visitation is scheduled from 10:00am to 11:00am, Friday, March 26, 2010, with Mass begin ning at 11:00am at St. Patrick's Catholic Community, 10815 N. 84th St. in Scottsdale.
