PRATHER, James B. (Jim)

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/26/2010 James B. "Jim" Prather, 70, of Pinetop died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Tall Pines Care Center in Show Low. He was born May 21, 1939, at Phoenix, Ill., the son of Jerry and Florence (Stickles) Prather. He was raised and attended school at Harvey, Ill. He married Judith Archer Dec. 20, 1958, at Harvey. He worked in several occupations including the railroad, service stations and security. He moved to Mesa in 1994. He retired as security supervisor from Chase Bank in Tempe. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Judy of the home; two daughters Debbie Speck of Pinetop and Marla (Jerry) Thoma of Crossville, Tenn.; two sons Brian Prather of Mesa and Bruce (Mana) Prather of Illinois; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Joann Delia and brother Paul Wentworth. No services are planned. Arrangements were under the direction of Black's Mortuary of Show Low.
