MELDER, Velma B.

Velma B. Melder, 77 of Phoenix died May 6, 2003. 

Songstress, model and loving Mother, Velma will be remembered for her love of God and her ability to share that joy among all his children and miracles of life unselfishly. 

Velma is survived by her daughter, Pamela Bartlett and son, Adam Melder; three brothers, Wallace Stevens, Franklin Stevens and Paul Stevens, a sister, Marion Pasqualone and three grandchildren, James, Samantha and William Bartlett. 

Velma was born on January 30, 1926 in Canton, Ohio to Dewey K. Stevens and Emma Stevens. She lived and worked in Ohio and New York before moving to Phoenix in 1955. 

We will mourn our loss, but we will celebrate Velma's life and return to God at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary, 6500 E. Bell Rd. Viewing 6-8PM, Friday, May 9 and Service at 11AM, Saturday, May 10, 2003. All who would like to take part are welcome.
