FRANKLIN, Viola H.

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona - 03/23/2004 Viola H. Franklin, 88, died at her home in Snowflake, March 17, 2004. She was born Sept. 19, 1915 in Cassopolis, Mich. She lived for the past 42 years in Arizona. She was married to Winiford Burt Franklin. They had four daughters. Viola cooked in a hospital for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing. Throughout the years she made many beautiful quilts, which she donated to charities. She loved to square dance and she spent many of her weekends going to yard sales. She is survived by her four daughters Lila Mae Hawn, Florida, Loretta Ferrin, Virginia, Nettie Jewell, Snowflake, and Crystal Pena, St. Johns; 45 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Her husband Winiford Burt Franklin preceded her in death. It was Viola's wish that no services be held for her. Burnham-Jewkes Mortuary, St. Johns handled arrangements.
