VOLLMER, Joseph W.

The Daily Miner 11/4/1984 Joseph W. Vollmer died Friday at Kingman Regional Hospital. He was 85. A resident of Mohave County since 1981, Mr. Vollmer came here from California. He was born Feb. 14, 1898, in Petersburg, Neb. Mr. Vollmer was a retired superintendent in manufacturing, was a member of the Kings of Columbus at St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is survived by his son, James Vollmer of Scottsdale; a daughter, Margaret Johnson of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Cronin of Hamilton, Mont., and Ann Schmeidlin of Ureka, Calif.; and a brother, Edward Vollmer of Helena, Mont. A service will be held at 2pm today at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund DeCabooter officiating. A private cremation will be held. Sutton Memorail Funeral Home is in charge of the services and cremation.
