Mark T. Power of Kingman died Friday at Lukes Hospital in Phoenix. He was 49.
Mr. Power was reared in Bisbee. He served two years in the U.S. Navy and received his Master's Degree from Northern Arizona University.
He taught in the Jobs Corp program for one year and also worked at Duval Mining Co. He was a teacher at Kingman High School for 17 years.
He was a member of the Kingman BPOE, the American Legion, Bass Fisherman's Club, the Hi-Desert Roadrunner Club and active in the community, political and educational organizations.
Mr. Power is survived by his wife, Doris; a son, Billy of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Nancy of Fort Gordon, GA., and Kathleen of Kingman; his mother, Ida of Bisbee; two brothers, Michael of Bisbee and Brian of Montague, Calif.; and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A service will be held at 2pm Saturday at the Sutton Memorial Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
