John Freeman
John Freeman Wilson, of Phoenix, died November 28, 2002. He was born in Salina, Kansas on September 7, 1920.
He served in the US Navy during World War II. After the war he returned to school at KWU in Salina where he received his Bachelor degree with majors in history, English Literature and religious philosophy. During this time he met his wife, Alice, while both attended KWU. In 1958 they moved to Phoenix. During his working career he was owner of an advertising business.
John is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons, David and John; one daughter Alice Abbott; 3 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew and Angela, all of Phoenix; one sister Lou Butler, of Midland TX and a niece, Chris Seitz, of Salina KS.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday December 7. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
