The Arizona Republic 3/28/2010 Wallen, Janice E, resident of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Thursday March 25, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Janice was born in Syracuse, Nebraska on December 25, 1924 to Walter and Irma Zahn. She is survived by Maurice Wallen, her loving husband of 59 years, her sister Evelyn Niebrugge, two daughters and two sons, Martha Ahner, Susan Wallen, Maurice Wallen and Charles Wallen. Janice is also survived by seven grandchildren, Robert Wallen, Scott Wallen, Salvatore Facista, Alexander Facista, Grayson Wallen, Ethan Wallen and Lauren Wallen. She had one Great Grand Daughter, Madeleine Grace Facista. She is preceded in death by her brother Robert Zahn. Janice was a member of Valley Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star, and was a member and Past President of Emblem Club #301 Auxiliary of the Elks. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 31st at 1:30 P.M. at Valley Presbyterian Church, 6947 E. McDonald Drive.
